Quality Education Supports Residents and Businesses

Within the Inland Empire, there are more than 20 colleges and universities that provide quality educational opportunities to our residents, ranging from doctoral and research degrees to night-study programs. When you include the abundance of technical schools in the area, there is a classroom for just about everyone.

California State University, San Bernardino

California State Univserity, San Bernardino (CSUSB) is one of the fastest growing universities in California, largely because of its expanding service area of San Bernardino and Riverside counties. More than 65,000 students have graduated from CSUSB, including many who work in Southern California and make a major positive impact on the economy. CSUSB currently enrolls more than 17,500 students and employs more than 2,100 faculty and staff.

The university offers more than 70 traditional baccalaureate and master's degree programs and a wide variety of education credential and certificate programs, including many that have earned national recognition. Its business and entrepreneurship programs are nationally respected, as evidenced by CSUSB's 2006 ranking of fourth in the U.S. for graduate entrepreneur programs. Cal State San Bernardino is distinguished as the first Inland Empire university with prestigious national accreditation for its College of Business and Public Administration.

California Baptist University

California Baptist University (CBU) is one of the top private Christian colleges and universities in Southern California. CBU offers bachelor's, master's and credential programs in Riverside, San Bernardino and online.

Chaffey College

Chaffey College is part of he college district that serves the population of the vibrant inland empire of western San Bernardino County, where the communities of Chino, Chino Hills, Fontana, Guasti, Montclair, Mt. Baldy, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga (Alta Loma, Cucamonga, and Etiwanda), and Upland are located. Four districts serving high school students are contained in these communities. They are the Chaffey Joint Union High School, the Chino Unified School District, the Fontana Unified School District, and the Upland Unified School District.

The Claremont Colleges

The Claremont Colleges is a consortium of five distinguished undergraduate liberal arts colleges and two graduate institutions that include Pomona College, Claremont McKenna College, Scripps College, Pitzer College, Harvey Mudd College, the Keck Graduate Institute, and Claremont Graduate University.  These seven independent institutions offer rigorous curricula, small classes, and several research opportunities in a residential college community of 6,900 students that provides a variety of intellectual, cultural, and social activities.  Students can also choose from approximately 2,500 courses each year across the colleges.

Crafton Hills Community College

As one of the 109 colleges in the California community college system, Crafton Hills College is committed to providing citizens in the region with an accessible higher education. The philosophy of California's community colleges is that education is the key to better jobs, a better economy, and a better quality of life. Crafton has an enrollment of 5,100 students. The small size of the college allows for much more one-on-one communication between instructors and students.

La Sierra University

The La Sierra University School of Business offers a Professional MBA (PMBA) program designed for working professionals just like you. Attend courses just one night a week and complete your MBA in 24 months or less.

Loma Linda University

Loma Linda University (LLU)  is a Seventh-day Adventist educational health-sciences institution with more than 4,000 students. Eight schools comprise the University organization. More than 55 programs are offered by the schools of Allied Health Professions, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Religion and Science and Technology. Curricula offered range from certificates of completion and associate in science degrees to doctor of philosophy and professional doctoral degrees. Students from more than 80 countries around the world and virtually every state in the nation are represented in Loma Linda University's student body.

University of California, Riverside

The University of California, Riverside (UCR) is one of 10 campuses within the prestigious University of California system.  It is located on nearly 1,200 acres with more than 20,000 students and is one of the most ethnically diverse research universities in the nation. It offers 89 Bachelor degree programs, 53 Master’s degree programs, 45 Ph D. programs, and 15 state teaching credential programs; its first medical school will also open in 2013. Its libraries hold more than 2.3 million volumes, and UCR’s economic contribution to the state is over $1.4 billion, of which nearly 57 percent is direct and indirect activity benefiting the Inland Southern California region.

University of La Verne

The University of La Verne is a private, doctoral university located in La Verne, California, about 35 miles east of Los Angeles. The University is composed of the: College of Arts & Sciences; College of Business & Public Management; College of Education and Organizational Leadership; College of Law; and the Regional Campus Administration that oversees seven regional campuses in central and southern California.

University of Redlands

The University of Redlands offers the College of Arts and Sciences, which is a vibrant community of students and faculty. In addition, two professional schools focus on working adults: the School of Education and the School of Business. The university's beautiful residential campus, located in the City of Redlands in Southern California, hosts the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Education. The School of Business locates its programs on the Redlands campus and in staffed regional campuses throughout Southern California.
